3. Physical & Chemical Properties
- State: White crystalline powder at room temperature
- Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, soluble in alkaline solutions and polar organic solvents
- Stability: Stable under normal conditions; decomposes at high temperature, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong bases
- Note (Bio-based Grade): This FDCA is 100% bio-based, produced from renewable carbohydrate feedstock. It is a key monomer for the synthesis of bio-based polyesters such as PEF, offering excellent thermal and mechanical performance with a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to fossil-based alternatives.
4. Applications
- Key monomer for PEF (polyethylene furanoate) production (bottles, packaging, fibers)
- Raw material for bio-based polyesters, polyamides, and other high-performance polymers
- Cross-linking agent in coatings and resins
- Intermediate for specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals
5. Packaging & Storage
- Packaging: 25kg bags, 500kg/1000kg bulk bags (customizable upon request)
- Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep containers tightly closed to prevent moisture absorption. Avoid exposure to heat, direct sunlight, and incompatible materials.
- Handling Precautions: Avoid dust inhalation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (dust mask, goggles, gloves) during handling. Use in a well-ventilated environment.
