- Primary intermediate in the synthesis of polyesters, used to improve the clarity and strength of PET carbonated drink bottles.
- Applied in optical resins, thermoplastic elastomers, and engineering plastics.
- Used in the production of high molecular weight polyesters via transesterification with glycols.
