3. Additional Notes & Test Methods
Notes on Specifications
- Viscosity Central Value (M₀): M₀ refers to the central value of intrinsic viscosity. The standard value is 0.58. If there are special requirements, the value can be agreed upon by both the supplier and the buyer and specified in the contract.
- Color Central Value (M₁): M₁ refers to the central value of color value (b). The standard value is 2. If there are special requirements, the value can be agreed upon by both the supplier and the buyer and specified in the contract.
- Diethylene Glycol (DEG): The default value is around 3.6%. If a lower DEG content (minimum 1.6%) is required, it must be agreed by both parties and stated in the contract.
Test Methods
All indicators are tested in accordance with GB/T 14190-93:
- Intrinsic Viscosity: Tested using a 1:1 (w/w) mixture of phenol and tetrachloroethane as solvent at 25°C.
- Melting Point: Determined by the microscopic method.
- Color Value: Measured using the Hunter three-color method on non-crystallized samples.
4. Physical & Chemical Properties
- State: Solid chips at room temperature
- Material Type: Modified cationic dyeable copolyester resin, designed for low-temperature dyeability
- Key Features: Good cationic dyeability at low temperatures, controlled DEG content, suitable for sea-island composite fibers and fine denier spinning processes
5. Applications
- Low-temperature cationic dyeable fibers
- Microfiber and superfine fiber spinning
- Synthetic leather, high-density textile fabrics requiring cationic dyeing
