3. Physical & Chemical Properties
- State: Colorless, odorless, transparent liquid at room temperature
- Solubility: Miscible with water, alcohols, and most organic solvents
- Stability: Stable under normal conditions; hygroscopic, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong bases
- Note (Bio-based Grade): This product is 100% bio-based 1,3-propanediol produced via an advanced fermentation process using renewable feedstock. It offers a reduced carbon footprint compared to fossil-based alternatives while maintaining excellent performance in polymer and chemical applications.
4. Applications
- Polyurethane elastomers (CASE, TPU, footwear, wheels and casters)
- Polyester polyols and coatings
- Adhesives, sealants, and aqueous polyurethane dispersions
- Personal care and cosmetic formulations (moisturizers, carriers)
- PTT (polytrimethylene terephthalate) fiber production
5. Packaging & Storage
- Packaging: 200kg drums, 1000kg IBC totes, or ISO tanks (customizable upon request)
- Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Recommended storage temperature: 0–50℃. Keep containers tightly closed to prevent moisture absorption. Avoid prolonged exposure to oxygen and water; nitrogen blanketing is recommended for long-term storage.
- Handling Precautions: Use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, protective clothing). Ensure adequate ventilation when handling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
