5. Handling & Process Recommendations

• Feeding Method: The catalyst can be added either together with slurry feed or after the esterification step; both feeding modes are applicable.
• Process Control: Adjust parameters (temperature, level) slowly and incrementally, waiting 15–30 minutes between adjustments. Monitor pressure drop, torque, and current closely to avoid operational instability.
• Quality Monitoring: Sample every 2 hours at the outlets of Prepolymer I and Prepolymer II reactors to track changes in end carboxyl groups and intrinsic viscosity.
• Color Adjustment: For optimal product color (especially the b-value), use of toners is recommended during production.
